Synopsis

Foyle turns to Sam for help when his god-daughter Lydia vanishes soon after turning up on his doorstep with her bomb-traumatised son James. While searching for Lydia, Foyle investigates an increase in sabotage and illegal gambling. When a local gambler is found murdered near a military research centre, the detective must enter the top secret arena of weapons research.
