Murder  
Synopsis
David Beale, a conscientious objector, dies in police custody setting
in train a series of deaths. The judge who jailed Beale receives threats
and a young evacuee is killed in what looks like an attempt on the judge's
life. A secret factory nearby and clues in a child's notebook, complicate
matters for the detective and his team. Then, when Foyle has pieced
together the truth, the entry of Italy into the war engulfs a close
friend in tragedy.
Starring Cheryl Campbell, Oliver Ford Davies and John Shrapnel, alongside
Michael Kitchen, Anthony Howell, Michael Simkins and Honeysuckle Weeks.
