Synopsis

New DCS Meredith has taken over after Foyle resigned and Hastings Police station isn’t quite the place it was.  Sam has been fired, Milner wants a transfer… if only Foyle could be persuaded to return to service.  A young man is found hanging in a wood.  It would seem to be suicide if it weren’t for the incongruous photograph found in his pocket – an aerial picture of a German village. Meredith isn’t convinced there’s a crime to investigate but Milner knows this is murder and he also knows Foyle would agree with him.
