What The Papers Said
“The plot was a beauty, tugging the viewers this way and that, before flooring them with a sucker punch. … The denouement … was quite brilliant. … Everything about the show oozed class. Fine performances from Caroline Goodall, Nathaniel Parker and Mark Strong were supported by playing of equal quality, with John McGlynn outstanding as a soft-spoken policeman … And hats off, too, to director David Drury. The story was not just well-paced but superbly atmospheric.”
Max Davidson, Sunday Telegraph, 9 May 1999
“The term ‘psychological thriller’ is often used when ‘routine whodunnit’ would have been sufficient, but TRUST genuinely fits the bill.”
Adam Sweeting, Guardian, 5 May 1999
“more than lived up to my expectations and thus became one of the best thrillers of the year…”
Daily Telegraph, 6 May 1999
"expensively made, beautifully acted and a cut above the rest."
TV Times, 1 May 1999
